For me as a ski enthusiastic Austrian and trained ski instructor, this day was therefore a very special experience. And at the same time a new challenge to accompany my first Ski World Cup as a presenter. Totally cool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Premiere at the cradle of alpine skiing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even the venue was not just any winter sports location. The Ski World Cup took place in Lech \/ Z\u00fcrs on the Arlberg, the cradle of alpine skiing. Skiing for us Austrians is the national sport number 1 and that I was allowed to host the Flexenrace in the Flexenarena on Saturday, was just really cool!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The journey to Lech turned out to be intense, as I had hosted the national team match between Austria and Israel in Klagenfurt the night before and then had to drive 5 \u00bd hours by car. Shortly after 5 o&#8217;clock I arrived at the hotel. That doesn&#8217;t happen so often in the World Cup. A parallel competition has its own dynamics and therefore has to be moderated in a completely different way than normal individual races.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At 10:00 a.m. the qualification races started. So we had enough time to get used to each other as a team. In the early evening the final of the ladies took place under floodlight and so Martin Boeckle, DJ Stari and me as the entertainment team could perform really well!
